So...

I'm not actually pregnant. Yet. Or I technically could be about 4 days pregnant. If that even counts.

GOALS:
My goal for this pregnancy is simple: eat clean. I don't have a number where I'd like my weight because that's just dumb. I know that if I eat clean, my weight will stay in check. So, from the cuff, let's just thrown some goals out there:
1. Survive the first trimester.
This one is a toughy sometimes. NAH-ZEE-UH. 24/7. No good. What little food sounds even remotely edible has, in my past, been very unhealthy. Hmmm, maybe the daily McDonalds Chicken  Nuggets I had with Reagan, or the ENDLESS chips and salsa with Ellie helped pack on that 50 extra lbs? Yikes. But, my goal this time around will be different - wait, I never had a goal with my previous four pregnancies. Ok, once-a-week fast food. There! I said it. I've done this enough times to know that NOTHING sounds good so why bother with unheathy calorie laden crap. Will I be able to eat fresh veggies with every mean - no way, but lets think of some bland, low sugar items I can snack on: Okay, you've got the BRAT diet: Exekiel bread, bananas, brown rice/quinoa, PB!, hard boiled eggs, lightly seasoned baked chicken breast...cold, appesauce. See, there's tons.Goal #1 summary, I'm not looking to really hit the CE ball out of the park for the first 12 weeks. But by eating bland, clean snacks and limiting fast food to once a week, I should be able to maintain control.

2. After that point is when I want to really hit the CE. I will shoot for clean dessert only twice a week and keep going with the fast food no more than once a week...which doubles as a financial help:) I usually feel great in my second trimester so this should be very attainable.

3. This blog will serve as a food journal. I'm sure sometimes it will be daily, sometimes weekly, but I want to plan/post/evaluate on here.

4. Keep working out! Group Power and Group Ride just like I've been doing! Adaptations as needed.

5. Get 8+ hrs of sleep. This one might be just as hard as eating clean for me! I relish the quiet time at night with no kids and a clean house. But this one is O-SO-CRUCIAL for me. It's actually when I'm tired that I'm mosty likely to turn to food for relief. If that means going to bed at 8:30, so be it.
